How Your Donations Help
Supporting Internships
The intern program was dedicated to the restoration of a 1937 Packard One Twenty, specifically the chassis. The car was mostly complete upon beginning this project and it had two goals:
1.) To restore the chassis to a showroom-like quality. In the glory days of Packard, the company would send demonstrators a chassis to Packard dealers, highlighting the engineering. The project was to re-enact this, as our museum is in an original Packard dealership.
2.) To restore the chassis of a historically significant automobile. We believe that this automobile was originally sold in the Citizen’s Motor Car Company of Dayton, Ohio where America’s Packard Museum is found today.
General Operating Support
Like other organizations, it takes money to operate America’s Packard Museum. General operating support helps is fulfil our mission and is the necessary funds to help us sustain our day-to-day operations. It covers the costs of basic operational needs, like payroll, special events, exhibits, and maintenance of vehicles and the building.
