Evening Elegance: the Packards and Museum at Night

Except for special events, the Museum closes at 5pm. However, Operations Manager Aaron Derr documented the Packards and facility at night. His remarkable images show the intense beauty and ambiance of the vehicles in an unprecedented manner.

About the Museum at Night

We are sometimes asked if things go bump in the night here at the Museum. The answer is… how much do you really want to know? The building dates from 1917 and like all old facilities, we can hear some creaks and groans, especially on a windy night. We do have Al Capone’s last car and an actual funeral hearse. Think they might be spooky in the dark? But as far as we know, the Museum has no wanted guests.

We like to think more about the great times people had buying new or used vehicles from the Citizen’s Motor Car Company and they joy they brought to generations of people who loved their Packards.
